WA Premier Colin Barnett has announced he intends to compulsorily acquire land in Dampier Peninsula for a multibillion dollar gas processing plant. This action undertakes to bypass important negotiation processes begin undertaken with local Indigenous groups who have strong cultural ties to the area.
