Interns
We're looking for go-getters who want to sink their teeth into changing the world. You will need to have great communication skills, be able to work independently, and love working with people. Our interns work on a range of tasks including conducting research, developing and maintaining our website, preparing email updates, moderating online blogs and forums, and the profile of our campaigns in the media. If you're able to arrange university credit for the internship that's fine with us. Generally, internships are based in Sydney. We usually require that interns commit to helping out a minimum of 2 days a week, over a 3 month period. There are some exceptions to this though, so if you think you'd be a great intern, email volunteer@getup.org.au with your resume attached and we'll get back to you!
Volunteers
GetUp thrives off the help of numerous members who volunteer their time, and there's a whole host of ways to help out.Whether it's helping out on the day of an event, assisting with some admin work in our Sydney office, lending us your photography and film skills or helping manage our accounting, volunteers are crucial to the every day runnings at GetUp!
Volunteer roles range from one-off activities, to regular weekly or bi-weekly positions. You can choose to help out at the odd event, or consider making GetUp a regular part of your week! Stay tuned to this page to find what particular volunteers positions we have available, or email volunteer@getup.org.au with your availability and any skills you think may be useful!
