Wentworth says No Pulp Mill

The proposed Gunns pulp mill in the Tamar Valley represents a major threat to Tasmania’s environment and economy.

However, your local member, Federal Environment Minister Malcolm Turnbull, still has the power to veto the development of the pulp mill, and enough pressure from his local constituents – who will decide whether he loses his job at the federal election – will force him to make the right decision and oppose this pulp mill.

Gunns exert untold influence on the State and Federal Government on this issue, but you can give Malcolm Turnbull something more important to be worried about -- his own seat of Wentworth. He has already given interim approval to the mill, but before he makes his final decision, now is the time to let him know what you think.
