Tomorrow night Stephen Conroy, Minister for Communications, will appear on Q&A on ABC TV - so this is our chance to ask him the hard questions about his proposed mandatory internet filter.

Senator Conroy has refused interviews on the topic of net censorship for months, but right now we have an opportunity to put him on the spot.

Question Conroy on the net

Some points to consider:

Below are a few key messages you might like to consider for your question. The Goverment's proposed internet filter will:

  • Allow the Government to block websites without scrutiny;
  • Make internet access slower and more expensive for Australians;
  • Shift responsibility for children's online safety from parents to Government; and
  • Miss much of the content it's designed to block.
