The rolls have now closed for this election.
UPDATE: Despite the AEC's announcement yesterday that they have recently struck 143,000 Australians from the roll without informing them, the election rolls have now closed to voters not already on the roll, thanks to a new cut-off deadline passed by the Howard Government that is set to disenfranchise tens of thousands of first-time voters.
Need to update your enrolment details?
If you need to update your address details, you still can - but you have only until 8pm Tuesday, October 23 for your form to arrive at an AEC office. To be sure it doesn't get lost in the post, you can either:
Fax or deliver your form in person to your nearest AEC office, or
Scan the form in and email it to info@aec.gov.au.

If you think it's flat-out wrong to make it harder for young people in particular to exercise their democratic rights, sign the petition for the next Parliament to overturn Mr Howard's undemocratic changes to our voting system as soon as possible.
