No Pulp Mill

Friday 1st May 2009 - The Latest

Thanks to overwhelming support the No Pulp Mill ad ran in yesterday's edition of the European Financial Times and has been receiving national media.

With our $120,000 target reached we can now extend the ad's run into Asia, reaching more potential investors.

But we need to keep it going - this ad works as banks are worried about people seeing their logo on it. The more we raise the more people we can show this ad to - chip in now to help stop the pulp mill by getting it shown in The Australian.

A chlorine dioxide leak at a Canadian pulp mill has caused an evacuation of nearby homes.

Australian anti-pulp mill campaigners fear that similar incidences could occur should the proposed Gunns pulp mill go ahead.

Join us tonight in Sydney for a GetUp talk by US political strategy guru, Joe Trippi.

Joe Trippi was key architect of the 2004 Howard Dean Presidential campaign. His approach revolutionised use of the Internet, shook up the United States Democratic Party, and paved the way for Barack Obama's historic victory last year.
