Mass bike ride through Melbourne & Concert
Pedal back to 350 - bring your bicycles! Helmets essential!
Meet at the Melbourne Museum at 10.30am on October 24
We will ride our bikes in mass through the heart of Melbourne city through the city in conjunction with millions of people from all over the world voicing their concerns for our future and demanding stronger action on responding climate change.
The GetUp team will ride to Birrarung Marr at 2pm. Stop along the way and join us here to write a letter to our local MP, Lindsay Tanner, and make an origami sun. Let's tell Mr Tanner that we want the Government to invest more in solar technology that will deliver jobs and a cleaner, brighter future for all.
Look out for the GetUp members with their bikes made in Copenhagen with the sign: "Turn Tanner onto Solar"
Join us to spread the message that Australians, along with the rest of the world, are deeply concerned about climate change and that we demand a safe future for generations to come.
During the ride we will construct a huge human/bike sign: enforcing the 350ppm target and photographing it to send to the world leaders in Copenhagen.
