Don't let Dutton and Rinehart buy our elections

Gina Rinehart hosted not one, but two fundraisers for Peter Dutton – with tickets priced at an eye-watering $14,000 each.1

With an election on the horizon, this kind of direct billionaire influence is a serious threat to our democracy.2 Because when wealthy elites like Rinehart fund politicians, their interests take precedence over the needs of everyday people.

But there is a way we can level the playing field – through our people-powered movement.

We need to match the resources of the wealthy and the far-right to kickstart our election campaign. This means investing in expensive polling to understand what matters most to voters and crafting targeted messages that resonate.

Can you chip in to help fund expensive polling and communication research, paired with a massive and strategic advertising campaign?
The election is just around the corner, and Peter Dutton is rapidly building momentum.

We can't even imagine a government led by Peter Dutton, dictated by wealthy backers like Gina Rinehart – pushing a fossil fuel and nuclear agenda that jeopardises our way of life.3

That's why we're kickstarting our election campaign with the following:
  • Working with communities affected by Dutton's nuclear plans like Hunter and Latrobe,
  • Commissioning expensive polling and surveys so we can understand where the community is at and build a strong counter-narrative campaign,
  • Pulling off a strategic advertising campaign to counter Dutton's agenda.
Chip in today so that we can level the playing field – through our people-powered movement.
We're no stranger to Peter Dutton. We have spent the last 20 years fighting against his hate and division with a vision of an Australia that is fair and flourishing.

And over the last six months, we've seen what Peter Dutton is willing to do to tear this vision apart.4

He has voted to oppose laws to increase workplace rights for workers, opposed renewable energy targets, and orchestrated a divisive campaign against First Nations justice and the Yes vote in the Referendum.5,6

But these actions are just a preview of what we can expect in an election year where Dutton is determined to regain power. He has already escalated personal attacks against journos and shamelessly spewing one lie after another.7,8

It's a terrifying threat to democracy from the Opposition leader and a possible would-be Prime Minister.

Will you chip in to push back on Dutton and defend our values of fairness, truth and itegrity?
