Take on Dutton, "best friend" of mining corporations

Peter Dutton has declared himself the "best friend" of mining corporations.1

In a speech to the mining lobby, he laid out a disturbing plan to turbocharge coal, gas and uranium mining, and trash workers rights. 2

We cannot let Dutton's "best friend" speech be swept under the rug or misconstrued as support for workers.

That's why we have a cheeky plan to reveal the truth behind Dutton's misleading "best friend" claim – with big billboards placed strategically in Queensland. The sunshine state's election is fast approaching, and Dutton is hoping his party will win big to build momentum going into the federal election.

Will you chip in to power cheeky billboards that put Dutton and the worst of the mining industry up in lights?
Billboard mock up
Queensland is crucial for Dutton's election campaign – and fossil fuel executives. Corporations are pushing for multiple new coal and gas projects that, if approved, would blow our national climate pollution reduction targets.3,4

And the state is key on nuclear. Liberal National Party Opposition Leader David Crisafulli has so far opposed Dutton's radioactive agenda, but he's under increasing pressure to roll back the state ban on nuclear if he wins in October.5

These cheeky billboards are just the start of our work to push back on Dutton's harmful agenda at this critical time. We'll be doing digital ads, activating members in their networks and speaking directly to voters about the issues that matter most.

Together we can stop Dutton gaining traction. Will you chip in?
