#SchoolStrike4Climate Rallies

poster of the youth are resisting
On Friday 21 May, thousands of people across the country are coming together to support the School Strikers and demand action on climate.

Join us to march in solidarity with the younger generation, and call on the Prime Minister to stop fossil fuel subsidies.

We demand climate action now!

All rallies will be following COVID-safety protocols, so please remember to physically distance, bring a mask and follow COVID regulations in your area and the instructions of local authorities. And as always, if you feel unwell, please stay home.
The rally is organised by the School Strikers – who are school students of all ages, races, genders, backgrounds and sexualities across Australia.

They are united by their concern for the future of the planet. Together, they have become a massive movement, and are striking from school to demand politicans take their future seriously, and acting on the climate crisis.
The School Strikers are calling for:

  • No new coal, gas or oil projects
  • 100% renewable energy generation and exports by 2030
  • Funding of a just transition and job creation for all fossil fuel workers and communities
It's the minimum that our government needs to do in order to urgently cut pollution and speed up the transition to our clean energy future.
Everyone! The strike is open to all of us, and it's important that we show our support by standing beside the strikers as they fight for their future and demand climate action.

Feel free to bring your co-workers, friends and family along, its an inclusive, family-friendly event.
Each rally may differ slighlty, but generally people will gather in public spaces with lots of funny signs, and listen to a range of incredible speakers. Then, there may be a march.

Make sure to bring some water and anything you need to protect you from the weather, and importantly, your fighting attitude!
