Stop First Nations Deaths in Custody
Since March, five Aboriginal people have died in custody. Five loved ones have died at the hands of our so-called justice system.
These deaths are a horrific reminder of the violence that First Nations people face at the hands of the police and the prison system. Yet, despite more than 460 people dying in custody over the past 30 years alone, not one single perpetrator has ever been convicted.
Politicians know how to stop these deaths but have never acted.
Next week is the 30th anniversary of the Royal Commission into Aboriginal Deaths In Custody. The majority of the recommendations from the Commission haven't been implemented.
Sign the petition calling on Prime Minister Scott Morrison to urgently implement the recommendations from the royal commission and stop black deaths in custody.
