It's your call, Melbourne

Picture of Scott Morrison standing in front of a bushfire holding a lump of coal. Words: Coalition. Coal. Chaos. Catastrophe.
The hard right has been holding us back for far too long. And we're running out of time.

So this election, we're taking on the hard right – and we've got a plan to win. Political research consistently confirms the same thing: one-on-one conversations are the single most effective way to shift a person's vote.

That's why we're hitting the phones to have vote-shifting conversations with the undecided voters who will decide the outcome of this election.

There's just 2 weeks to go. It's all hands on deck. Will you join us?
Never been to a calling party before? Watch the video below to see how GetUp members became involved in making calls to swing voters, and how they found the experience:

  • A fully charged phone (and a charger if you can)

  • A headset or headphones with a microphone that you can plug into your phone

  • Energy, enthusiasm, and a desire to make a real difference this election!
Having vote-shifting conversations with voters might sound daunting, but it's actually super straightforward.

We provide an easy-to-follow conversation guide, and all additional training will be provided at the event.

This technique has seen significant success in the US, and also here in Australia.

In the last federal election, GetUp members made phone calls to voters, that swept away hard right blocker Andrew Nikolic in the seat of Bass in Tasmania, and saw Peter Dutton's margin in Dickson crumble to under 2%.
