Fly First Nations Flags in Parliament!
Shockingly, the Morrison Government has rejected the request from Aboriginal senators to fly the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander flags inside Parliament House - stating it is "not appropriate".
This is an outrageous and divisive move.
The Aboriginal flag is a national flag, just like the Australian flag.
Even the flag handbook of the Office of Prime Minister and Cabinet states that during NAIDOC week (a week that celebrates Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people and culture). "The Australian Aboriginal Flag [and the Torres Strait Islander Flag] should be flown." So why not display it in the chamber all year?

It always will be, and always was Aboriginal land. Flying the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander flags in Federal Parliament is the most appropriate thing in the world.
The Morrison Government owes Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people acknowledgement and respect. The Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander flags must be displayed in parliament year round.
Sign the petition calling for the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander flags flown inside Parliament. First Nations culture and history is part of this nation's history it cannot be banned.

To Scott Morrison,
Banning the Aboriginal and Torres Strait islander flag from inside Parliament house is a divisive and disrespectful move.
We call on the Morrison Government to immediately allow the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander flags to be displayed inside Parliament at all times.
