Four Years Too Many - #EvacuateNow National Vigils

July 19 this year marks a harrowing milestone. It will be 4 years since Kevin Rudd announced that he would not allow any person seeking asylum arriving boat to find safety in Australia.

Since then, it's been four years of successive Australian governments choosing to make people seeking safety keep suffering in the offshore camps on Manus Island and Nauru.

Four years of abuse, four years of limbo — four years too many.

In October, Manus will be bulldozed, and the company that operates the Nauru camp will leave. It seems the Turnbull Government is preparing to abandon these men, women and children, with nowhere safe to go.

So on July 19, we will gather across the country for candlelit vigils. We will stand with those who have suffered, mourn those who have lost their lives and demand everyone on Manus and Nauru be brought to safety.

Can you make it? Here's where the vigils are taking place.

Can't make it? Please chip in to help make the vigils as big as possible.
