Out of Sight, In Our Minds

Our government is doing everything it can to ensure that the voices of asylum seekers being held in offshore detention on Manus Island can't be heard. Just days ago, GetUp and our friends at ChilOut were refused access to the Manus Island detention centre to show the world what conditions on Manus are really like. But we won't let that stop us.

They can prevent us from entering the country and centre but they can't stop us from working to get the stories out to as many Australians as possible.

Will you help the children of Manus Island to tell their stories? In the coming weeks we'll be continuing to gather stories and are working with ChilOut to turn these stories into a powerful video. Chip in using the secure donation tool on the right so that children in detention can be heard.

The lives of children in offshore detention are too important to play political games with. Can you help the world's most desperate refugees tell their stories about their treatment by Australia?

How much would you like to contribute?
