Protect our right to vote

COVID-19 restrictions mean the Electoral Commission can't travel to remote Aboriginal communities and get people enrolled to vote.

People shouldn't be denied their democratic right because of the Morrison Government's failure to protect them.

If we can make sure remote Aboriginal communities can enrol to vote up until election day, we can make sure they have the right to vote on the issues that matter to them.

We've done this before, we can do it again

In the 2020 Northern Territory State Election, thousands of Aboriginal people across the Territory weren't enrolled to vote.

So we demanded the NT Electoral Commission keep enrolment open right up until election day.

And it worked – thousands of Aboriginal people across the Territory were able to enrol and have their say.

This election, the stakes are higher than they've ever been. The issues remote Aboriginal communities have been raising for decades were amplified by the Morrison Government's failure to protect us from COVID-19.

Elections are our chance to have our say on those issues – but only if people across the Territory are enrolled to vote.
