Tell Labor MPs and Senators to bring back the CES!
Bring back the Commonwealth Employment Service, or CES.1 That's the resounding call made by union leader Michael Tull before the committee scrutinising our broken and privatised system.
While this is a promising solution that prioritises public service over profit, greedy corporations are fighting tooth and nail to protect this $7 billion industry.
This is why our movement should push Labor to champion the interest of all Australians – not just the privileged few.
Will you contact your Labor MP and Senator and let them know they have your support for a nationalised employment services system?

You don't need to be an expert to write to your Labor MPs and Senators. Not sure what to say? Here are some key points to consider.
- Introduce yourself. Tell them a bit about yourself! Which area do you live in? What do you do?
- Tell MPs and Senators that you want a social safety net that we can all be proud of. Our employment services system that's in charge of helping people land jobs should have public service, not profit, at its centre. That's impossible with the current profit-driven system.
- Bring back a better, modern version of CES. It's important that your message has an ask. Make it clear that you believe it's time to put employment services back in public hands.
