Fantastic responses coming from Torquay and nearby residents and Get Up members!! This will be a great day for Torquay to unite in its concern about climate action. Can you do any of these to help:
- about 6 metres of light coloured fabric - the heavier the better (calico, curtain lining - maybe an old pair drop cloth, curtains - anything that can be joined into a good banner size)

- paint - fast drying, bright acrylic - black, red, yellow, orange, hot pink...

- large food tins or plastic buckets for paint - maybe 10

- approx 20 paint brushes (a good size for quick, large application - mane about an inch width bristles)

- someone who can take a fabulous photo of the group for the GetUp organisers to share through social and mainstream media

- provide a PA for our guest speaker/s to address the gathering and inspire us in our commitment to action

- offer any other valuable input not yet considered

Please reply here - encourage 3 friends to add their RSVP and share the event :-)

Great news!!! Senator Richard Di Natale is joining us on the Esplanade in Torquay to help raise the voices for climate action. Gary Banks and CJ Lee will play a few tunes while we paint the banner and meet others who want this issue opened up for serious debate by our leaders. See you there!! (still need paints and fabric, hot coloured balloons....please call/sms 0414 972 950 if you can help)
