This Sunday at local community-organised events across the country, Australians are standing up to tell our politicians that we want coal seam gas mining stopped until the impacts on our water, environment and health are known.
Our friends in Lock the Gate and in local community groups have organised events from Margaret River in WA, to the Scenic Rim mountains in Queensland.

What: Brisbane concert rally
When: 11am Sunday October 16
Where: Queens Park Cnr George & Elizabeth St, Brisbane
Need to know: Rally, concert, guest speakers from Lock the Gate and GetUp! There will be performances from artists featured on the special "Deep Water" CD that will be launched at this event. Participants are encouraged to wear blue, and there will be a fun action where the whole crowd will form a huge droplet of water to represent the 'Defend our Water' theme.

Where: Join the gathering at Mt Barney Lodge Lookout to see the spectacle of hundreds of bushwalkers and banners on peaks around the Scenic Rim.
Need to know: a gentle hill to the lookout, there will be banners, media. Register so the helicopter knows where to find your banner at keepthescenicrimscenic@gmail.com
