It comes down to the bottom line

Over the last few hours the Australian Christian Lobby have been putting pressure on the sponsors of Sunrise to stop supporting the show. Can you use the email tool on the right to write to The Coffee Club, Accor Hotels, Jetstar and Myer to let them know they shouldn't abandon Sunrise for taking a stance on ending marriage discrimination.

Tips for writing the email:

- Be polite and concise. The shorter and more direct your email is, the more powerful it will be.

- Share your story. Why does this issue matter to you?

-If you are one of their customers, mention that in the email - after all, these are businesses who care about their bottom line.

Here is an example:

Dear Sir/Madam,

I'm writing because the issue of marriage discrimination means a lot to me. Standing in the way of couples who love each other is heartbreaking.

I know that you might have been urged to walk away from Sunrise this morning. I support marriage equality because the current law discriminates against countless Australians - please don't walk away from Sunrise for wanting to stand up and end marriage discrimination.
