Call out Murdoch's dangerous misinformation
It's time to stand up to the Murdoch Press.
During the bushfire crisis, the Murdoch Press deliberately pushed "misinformation" intended to "divert attention from climate change".1,2
When Coronavirus first hit in Australia, the Murdoch Press published racist and xenophobic headlines on the front pages of its newspapers.3
But we're calling them out. And we're not alone. Join the communities and everyday people taking on the Murdoch Press.

Enough is enough. Now, more than ever, our communities need truthful and reliable reporting to stay safe and informed...the antithesis of the Murdoch Press.
The New York Times called out News Corp's "relentless effort" to "protect conservative leaders and divert attention from climate change".4 An employee rebelled against News Corp's "misinformation campaign" filled with "irresponsible" and "dangerous" coverage of the bushfire crisis.5 Even Rupert Murdoch's own son criticised the media giant earlier this year.6
And now we know it's damaging our society, with new research showing Australia has one of the worst rates of climate denialism in the world.7
The good news? The pressure on News Corp has never been stronger or more effective. But if News Corp is to clean up their act, we need to keep it up. They're used to receiving letters to the editor, but what about one signed by tens of thousands of Australians.

To Michael Miller, CEO of News Corp Australia,
News Corp is continuing to drive misinformation and fear in our communities - from the impacts of climate change to Coronavirus.
News Corp’s agenda diverts political attention from preventing worsening climate disasters. It’s divisive and too often racist coverage has real world implications for migrant and multicultural communities across the country. It has to stop.
We ask that you set aside ideology and act in the interest of our communities.
