Fossil fuel lobbyists don't belong at COP
Since September, extreme bushfires across northern Australia have burned an area larger than Spain.1
This is climate change in action – caused by a handful of fossil fuel corporations mining and burning coal, oil and gas.
Yet at this week's global climate summit, fossil fuel corporations and their lobbyists will have a seat at the table – holding back global progress.

We simply do not have time to allow fossil fuel giants to derail global climate negotiations.
Add your name before we hand-deliver the petition to Australian and global leaders at this year's climate summit in Dubai, United Arab Emirates.
COP (the Conference of the Parties) is the annual United Nations summit to tackle the climate crisis – where leaders negotiate crucial global agreements.
But the same fossil fuel corporations causing global catastrophe are increasing their toxic influence at these important meetings – which should be about phasing out their industry. The last climate summit saw a whopping 663 fossil fuel lobbyists participate.2
The United Nations is starting to feel the pressure – recently announcing that this year's participants will have to declare any fossil fuel ties, but this just isn't good enough.3
That's why our GetUp movement is working together with similar organisations around the world to build a global outcry so large we cannot be ignored. And we're sending a team of campaigners to COP this year to make the most of this once-a-year global spotlight on climate.
Will you add your name to the petition to make future COPs free of fossil fuel lobbyists?

KICK OUT FOSSIL FUEL POLLUTERS FROM FUTURE CLIMATE TALKS
To: United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC) Executive Secretary,
COP President
CC: Prime Minister Anthony Albanese, Minister for Foreign Affairs Senator Penny Wong,
Minister for Climate Change and Energy Chris Bowen
We urge the United Nations to ban fossil fuel corporations and their lobbyists from participating in climate summits – so negotiations can focus on a fast, fair shift from fossil fuels to protect people, not big polluter profits.
