Who Paid No Tax?
The ATO has released its fifth corporate tax transparency report – and more than a third of Australia's largest corporations pay zero tax.
Meanwhile, vital public services and infrastructure are getting cut across the board. From slow internet to longer hospital waiting lines to over-crowded schools, the effects of tax cheating are always felt by everyday people.
So how are these huge multinational corporations getting away with it?
By using their wealth and power to squirrel away profits in tax havens, paying accountants to work out how to show a loss on hundreds of billions of revenue, and lying about where their profits are really earned to avoid the ATO.
No corporation makes a dime in this country without using government-provided services, a publicly educated workforce, and public infrastructure.
We need to ruin the social license of tax dodgers – and send a message to their mates in government ,that we aren't going to let this slide.
Will you sign the petition to join tens of thousands of Australians calling on Scott Morrison to crack down on corporate tax cheats?
