Taking on Murdoch Lies
The Australian launched 8 recent front page attacks against the GetUp movement, littered with errors, falsehoods and flat out lies.
We need to use our power together to call on them to bring truth back to their journalism.
We're under attack because we're making real progress towards a fairer, more equal and just Australia. That comes at a cost to the Murdoch Press, who is used to telling people how to think and what to support.
But that can't excuse some of the outright falsehoods in their recent reporting, stooping so low as to cite Wikipedia to report a false, right-wing conspiracy about GetUp's funding.
The Australian is used to receiving letters to the editor, but never one signed by tens of thousands of Australians. Can you add your name today?

To Paul Whittaker, Editor of The Australian:
Truth is a fundamental Democratic value.
When a newspaper sacrifices truth for the sake of a political agenda, it cheapens journalism and reduces trust in the media, driving readers away.
Stop writing false, misleading and poorly-sourced stories for the sake of your own ideology, and make truth the hallmark of your reporting.
In taking action, I agree to GetUp's Privacy Policy.
