Ramp up the pressure to have mining declared as non-essential!
Right now remote Aboriginal communities across the Northern Territory are in lockdown and borders are closed to keep some of the most at risk people safe from the coronavirus.
And thanks to your pressure, the one of the largest Oil and Gas corporations Orgin Energy has immediately put a halt due to the risk their workers pose to remote communities. But we need to keep the pressure up!
Just last week, thousands you joined the call to have mining fly in, fly out workers classed as "non-essential" during the pandemic, but Origin's dangerous and risky Kyalla Well is just one project.
This is the perfect opportunity to keep that pressure on, mining is needs to be declared as non-essential in across the NT its just too risky to allow untested workers without.
Can you sign this urgent call to get mining declared as non-essential across the NT!

To NT Chief Minister Michael Gunner:
Declare Mining a non-essential industry. Oil and gas companies are traveling across the NT without testing or quarantine, which puts lives of some of the most vulnerable communities at risk.
All activities associated with mining and fracking should be immediately halted in an effort to stop the spread of COVID-19.
