Will you take 2 minutes to call Environment Minister Tanya Plibersek's office?
- Start by introducing yourself. This could include your name, where you're from, and a little bit about yourself!
- Outline your concerns around Labor so far failing to act to protect water from fracking. Today the NT Government just approved Tamboran's 15 new fracking wells. With the NT Government's brazen support for fracking, and Tamboran's terrible track record on water, it's up to the federal government to take urgent action.
- Outline what you want Minister Plibersek to do. Urge Minister Plibersek to protect water from fracking and use her water trigger powers to call in Empire Energy and Tamboran's pilot fracking projects for rigorous national assessment. Plus, the Albanese Government must honour their election committment to create strong national cultural heritage protection legislation.
- Say you're supporting Traditional Owners who are opposing fracking in the Beetaloo. Time and time again, Traditional Owners have said no to fracking in the Beetaloo Basin. Make it clear that you are uniting behind them in their demands to protect Country and water from fracking.
- Always be polite and respectful: it's important to be polite in order to be listened to.
