Mega fracker on its way to the Beetaloo Basin
Four trucks carrying pieces of Tamboran Resources mega fracking rig just left Darwin Port and are en route to the Beetaloo Basin.
Water protectors in Darwin are right now preventing additional trucks from leaving.

We have a crucial window to ramp up the pressure on the Albanese Government to stop these massive fracking machines from destroying water, Country, cultural heritage – and our climate.
Will you urgently write to Environment Minister Tanya Plibersek? Together we can show her the power of our movement backing in Traditional Owners.

The sheer scale of Tamboran's fracking rig means it needs two to four times as much water and toxic chemicals than anything else currently approved in Australia.
Tamboran are working with US-based oil and gas provider, Helmerich & Payne (H&P), who are major investors in Tamboran. H&P make and contract out these rigs across the US.
Over the years, H&P have pled guilty to making false statements about offshore drilling activity,1 and faced dozens of penalties, including for several workplace health and safety issues.2
What's more, the US market is dipping, and they're eager to find somewhere else to make money off their destruction.
Digging into some of Tamboran's annual reports, we know they plan to work with H&P to send up to five of these monsters here in the months and years to come. The one that just left Darwin Port for the Beetaloo Basin could just be the first.
That's why we need a massive public campaign to stop them. Will you email Minister Plibersek urging her to use her powers to protect water?
