Huge news: Adani's Carmichael Mine approval was just ruled invalid by the Federal Court!
Funded by thousands of GetUp members, the Mackay Conservation Group has beaten both Adani and Federal Environment Minister Greg Hunt in court to overthrow the plans for the biggest coal mine in Australia.
But it's not over yet. The law dictates Greg Hunt must re-consider the mine and either approve it or reject it for good.
As Minister Hunt deliberates he will probably face pressure from vested interests to fast-track approval for this ill-fated project. That's why it's so important that he hears from us, the electorate, that we don't want this mine threatening our Reef and climate.
