Call out Murdoch's dangerous misinformation
While the ABC works overtime to keep our communities safe, News Corp is pushing climate misinformation.
But people are standing up against the Murdoch press. It's time to join them.
But people are standing up against the Murdoch press. It's time to join them.
First The New York Times called out News Corp's "relentless effort" to "protect conservative leaders and divert attention from climate change".1 Then an employee rebelled against News Corp's "misinformation campaign" filled with "irresponsible" and "dangerous" coverage of the bushfire crisis.2 Rupert Murdoch's own son criticised the media giant.3
Fire chiefs, scientists and communities are calling for a national conversation about the ongoing climate crisis threatening our homes, wildlife, lives and livelihoods. The ABC's emergency broadcasting is saving lives. But News Corp's dogmatic agenda is blocking the climate solutions that can help keep us safe.
We need to call on News Corp to act in the national interest by delivering truthful reporting in this time of crisis. They're used to receiving letters to the editor, but what about one signed by tens of thousands of Australians. Can you add your name today?

To Michael Miller, CEO of News Corp Australia,
News Corp is continuing to drive a misinformation campaign about the impacts of climate change even in the face of an unprecedented national emergency.
This ideological agenda poses an ongoing risk to community safety by diverting political attention from the causes and impacts of worsening climate disasters.
We ask that you set aside ideology and act in the interest of the people and wildlife under threat from out of control climate change.
