Push MPs to vote with their conscience

The Senate is trying to push through bill to get #KidsOffNauru and ensure ill people on Manus and Nauru – who have been detained for over 5 years – finally get the the medical assessment and treatment they need in Australia.

This is HUGE.

We have reached a tipping point, and Morrison knows it. But we're running out of time and to get this across the line, we're going to need every single MP in the House of Reps to stand on the right side of history.

Labor, the Greens and the Crossbench have helped backed this in the Senate, but now we need to call to thank Labor for standing up, get the House Crossbench to stay strong, and demand the Coalition vote with their conscience.

In the next few hours justice can be secured – but only if we act now, and fast!

Can you urgently call your MP and ask that they vote with their conscience this afternoon?

  1. Introduce yourself and mention you're a constituent
  2. Ask to speak to your local MP
  3. Tell their staff:
    • You're very concerned about the fact that ill people – including children – are still detained on Nauru and Manus despite thousands of doctors calling out the medical emergency.
    • You want your MP to publicly vote for every sick person to be brought from offshore detention to Australia for treatment now and say that these families can't wait a minute longer.
    • Ask that the office passes your concern on to the MP as soon as possible.
  4. That's it!

    • Thank you for being concerned about the fact that ill people – including children – are still detained on Manus Island and Nauru, given that thousands of doctors are speaking out about the medical emergency.
    • You want your MP to back in the bill in the lower house that will bring all sick people in offshore detention to Australia for treatment.
    • Ask that the office passes your message on as soon as possible.
  4. Thank their office for their time — that's it!
