Keep Us Working Fair
The minimum wage, penalty rates, unfair dismissal laws, collective bargaining and more are all under threat in a sweeping new review of workplace laws ordered by the Abbott Government. And the spectre of WorkChoices is looming large again.
Prime Minister Abbott is ignoring the lessons from decades of Australian prosperity in order to take us down a meaner and falied American path of the working poor.
But the Government is already reeling from the backlash against their efforts to Americanise our Medicare and universities, with voters abandoning them and their own backbench calling themselves "out of touch."
That makes this Australia Day weekend the perfect opportunity to call them out for trying to cast aside our workplace protections.
