Federal Election 2016
Our People-Powered Revolution
Our movement has had a huge impact on the election result.
Over eight weeks, GetUp volunteers made 40,218 calls to undecided voters, handed out over a million how-to-vote cards on election day, and 35,115 people donated an average of just $81 to fund our efforts.
Together we proved that everyday people can shift votes off the hard-right on the issues that matter to our movement.
Take a look at what our movement achieved.

Homegrown Power Plan
| Australia is at a crossroads. Coal and gas are polluting our air, poisoning our water and making our planet way too hot to handle.
The Homegrown Power Plan, a joint project between GetUp! and Solar Citizens, shows how we can repower the country with 100% renewable power by 2030.
By switching away from fossil fuels forever, we can help build a cleaner, greener future.|
Can you share the Homegrown Power Plan with your local MP?
Coal Seam Gas
Stop CSG in the Great Artesian Basin
Australia's lifeblood - the Great Artesian Basin - is under threat from Santos' coal seam gas projects. A new report has confirmed Santos' Narrabri CSG project "could be enough to stop bores flowing throughout the basin, which is the sole water source for towns and farms across 22 per cent of Australia." Any risk to this water supply is simply unthinkable and unacceptable.
Sign the petition calling on NSW Premier Mike Baird to halt the unbridled expansion of the coal seam gas industry
Don't Risk Coal Seam Gas

Switch to a better energy company today
Right now, more than 70% of Australians get their electricity from AGL, Origin and EnergyAustralia - three of the biggest polluters in the country, with all three supporting or funding CSG and coal-based power. But the good news is we can use our power as consumers to switch to a cleaner, greener, low-cost alternative and help support Australia's renewable energy future. |
Ready to switch to an affordable, alternative power company and send a message to the Origin, EnergyAustralia and AGL that we won't stand for companies that invest in fossil fuels? Make the switch today!
